Why this partnership matters
The Victorian Homeless Fund brings together land, donors and industry partners to create quality homes for people facing homelessness, with a strong focus on women and children escaping family violence and hardship.
We’re proud to support that mission by building homes alongside trades and suppliers who donate materials, labour and expertise, often at heavy discounts or completely free of charge.

Our journey so far
To date, SJD Homes has partnered with the Victorian Homeless Fund to deliver two homes for families in need, and now two more are underway in Pakenham East.
Together with our dedicated trade and supplier partners, we are building on a legacy of compassion, community and care to provide long-term housing solutions for those who need them most.

A four-bedroom family home built for the Victorian Homeless Fund and Women’s Property Initiatives, providing long-term safe housing for women and children escaping family violence. Opened by the Victorian Premier and recognised as a model for industry-led housing partnerships.

A family home delivered through close collaboration between SJD Homes, trades, donors and the Victorian Homeless Fund. Provides safe, stable long-term accommodation for a family in need, with full fit-out and landscaping contributed by our partner network.

Storey Block, Pakenham
COMPLETED 2021
Six townhouses built for Victorian Homeless Fund and Women’s Property Initiatives, each with 2-3 bedrooms. Surrounded by parkland, these homes were designed by Schored Projects and built by SJD Homes. These will provide low-rent social housing long term for local single homeless women.
